Private Preschool Chabad Lubavitch
The Ohel Menachem Chabad Preschool was started in Riga in1994 by the Latvian branch of the Chabad Lubavitch Organization headed by Rabbi Mordechai and Rivka Glazman.
There are 5 age groups in the Preschool, with 50 Jewish children aged 1.5 through 6. The program prepares the children for school via Jewish tradition. All classes are held in the form of play. Beginning from 3,5 years, children learn Latvian, English and Hebrew and start to get acquainted with computers. Modern repairs are made in all classrooms. Each group has great number of developmental games and amusing bright toys. There is a plant corner, an aquarium with live fish and terrariums with turtles. A speech therapist, psychologist and doctor work in the kindergarten and lessons of corrective gymnastics are regularly held. 
After graduating children can continue studies in the Chabad Lubavitch School.
A kosher kitchen works in the kindergarten, feeding the children three hot meals a day. School transport brings children to the Preschool from all districts of Riga and Jurmala and returns them home at the end of the day. Children stay at Preschool from 8.15 to 17.30. back |
